| We are creating a revolutionary simulation environment
for the optoelectronics industry, allowing designers to model, characterize
and predict the behavior of optical components before building prototypes.
This modeling capability is intended to shorten optical component
production cycles and to enable the creation of higher performance,
more integrated devices.
Existing optical design tools are based on models that are unable to provide quantitative, accurate solutions when faced with the geometric complexities inherent in designing high-performance optical components. They typically use approximations of Maxwell's equations based on geometrical optics or weak scattering assumptions. These have been useful for designers, but yield only qualitative pictures of the behavior of optical signals, rather than reliable quantitative results. Instead of using simple approximations or unwieldy
brute-force techniques, we are developing an optimized, accurate
simulation environment, which will provide the rapid solution
of Maxwell's equations in structures that have been considered
too complex for direct simulation. Home | About Us | Technology | Products | News | Careers Support | Contact Us | Site Map 1020 Sherman Avenue, Hamden, CT 06514 (203) 248-8534 Copyright © 2004. MadMax Optics, Inc. All rights reserved. |
