PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
FMMPART3D is a FORTRAN subroutine that uses the Fast Multipole Method (FMM) to rapidly evaluate the Coulombic particle sum,
   
where the qj are particle charges and the pjare dipole moments. The potential and its gradient are both returned. This is a core problem for many technical areas, including electrostatics, magnetostatics, incompressible flow, astrophysics, and chemistry.
 
The FMM method evaluates this sum in O(N) time. The user can tune the precision of the evaluation to 3, 6, 9 or 12 digits.
